**Responsibilities**
- Principal Responsible Person/ Manager-in-Charge - Accountable for overseeing the implementation and operation of an effective AML/CFT Program in Asset Management and Private Bank under the HKMA and SFC Management Accountability Regime.
- Governance, Controls and Compliance Oversight - Support APAC AWM to ensure compliance with internal AML policies, procedures and external regulations and expectations; Oversee the development and effectiveness of AWM AML program, control framework and governance structure to ensure compliance with relevant AML legislations; maintain an open relationship with the regulators
- Client KYC - Develop and oversee the implementation of the client identification and on-boarding program; Advise AWM on KYC requirements and risk assessments relating to PEPs, High Risk customers and other AML related issues
- Transaction Monitoring and Reporting - Ensure the transaction monitoring system is effective in identifying suspicious activities and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) are filed with relevant authorities on a timely manner
- Policies and Procedures - Oversee the AML/ Sanctions related policies and procedures to ensure alignment with both internal and regulatory requirements
- Team Management - Manage team staffing levels and team affairs including performance management, people development and hiring
- Staff Training and Risk Awareness - Ensure GFCC team members, supporting functions and front office members are provided with adequate and appropriate training on the latest AML / Sanctions requirements and trends; Provide global, regional, and local senior management with regular updates on key issues and emerging risks
- Reporting - Report material matters to relevant boards and governance committees; participate in management committees
- Regulatory / Industry Engagement - Participate in regulatory engagement and / training sessions as well AML / Sanctions related industry forums. Maintain a strong relationship with local regulators and discuss significant matters as required
**Qualifications**
- 10+ years of AML Advisory experience with financial institutions, preferably in Private Banking and/ or Asset Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin, written and spoken would be needed as this role is expected to work closely with clients from North Asia
- Familiarity and experience in AML/CFT requirements in Asset Management and Private Bank - locally, regionally as well as FATF and other international standards
- Strong leadership, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Team management experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and control/quality awareness
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting / Business / Economics / Finance / Law
