Regional Accountant

Singapore IHI ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. Full time

**As a Regional Accountant, you will be responsible for the following**:
1. Implementation of global projects related to finance & accounting

a) SAP implementation in the region

b) Set up of regional cash management system and activate the operations in the region

c) Study and analyze to establish the structure for operation of shared service in the region

d) Support deployment of other projects / policies initiated by IHI HQ or RHQ

2. Regional finance & accounting support service to the subsidiaries

a) Examine and provide assistances for the solution related to the finance / accounting / tax treatment of specific issues in the region companies, such as:

- Set-up / improve managerial accounting structure
- Assist for ramp-up of new entity / factory / project
- Examine and prepare for finance & accounting process / rule

3. Monitoring / Internal Audit in the region

a) Monitor and analyze the financial results / forecasts / profit plan and other report items related to finance, accounting & tax of subsidiaries in the region

b) Examine the actual practices of finance & accounting procedures in region companies

c) Clarify compatibility of required process / rule which are adopted to the subsidiaries

4. In-house improvement activities related to Finance & Accounting

a) Improvement for reporting process

b) Any other tasks requested for in-house tasks for finance & accounting

5. Any other ad-hoc supporting task assigned by Director / GM / HOD

a) Responsible to be the key person to arrange and respond to inquiry / report requested by IHI HQ

b) Support for survey / study / benchmark analysis etc.

c) Support for regional events such as Regional Conference / Quarterly Meeting / Finance Training & Workshop.

d) Any other tasks requested

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any other relevant field
- At least 7 years of relevant working experience in related function.
- Relevant working experience in cost controlling, reporting under MNC group management / Group policy arrangement & deployment in heavy industries, manufacturing, machinery industries and/or aero engine business are required
- SAP implementation experience is required
- Knowledge of international accounting standard / practice
- Well-organized, meticulous to detail, self-driven and motivated by new challenges
- Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills / capability to coordinate with both internal & external stakeholders
- Proficient in Business Japanese Language (JLPT N1) is required to liaise with Japan Headquarters, Business Partners, etc. for effective communication, negotiation, etc.
