**Position Summary**

Responsible for providing strategy partnership and mentoring of the Site Quality Control Supervisory team.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Maintain a contemporary knowledge of processes and procedures, including the principles and practices of good data management (ALCOA); guide and advise site colleagues in the same.
- Mentor current incumbent QC supervisors (up to 7) on good data management, team performance expectations and decision-making capabilities. Role model and exemplify strong compliance behaviors.
- Support the Sr. QC Manager in the development of resource planning, and an education and learning matrix for QC colleagues.
- Implement QC lab operating initiatives, practices, and behavior to ensure delivery of committed test and investigation cycle-times.
- Establish a focus on QC process simplification and implement appropriate QC performance indicators
- Build connections for Tuas QC colleagues to the broader PGS network SMEs and Communities of Practices to facilitate sharing of best practices, issue resolution, exchange of knowledge, and the harmonization of analytical techniques.
- Provide support and guidance in complex analytical investigations, acting as analytical expert to ensure investigations are adequately evaluated and documented using sound technical justification and rationale.

**Education and Experience**
- Degree in Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years working in an analytical laboratory, or an equivalent combination of work experience and education.
- Minimum 3 years leading a moderate to large Quality Control analytical team in a multi-product, GMP, FDA regulated site.
- Demonstrated technical capability, with a strong chemistry background
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Empower and gLIMS systems.
- Demonstrated capability and experience in process simplification, critical thinking, complex laboratory investigations, and a demonstrated focus on adherence to deadlines.
- Demonstrated capability to mentor and influence organizational change.
- Experience in API manufacturing preferred but not essential.
