Principal Engineer, Integration

**About GLOBALFOUNDRIES**:
**Introduction**:
**We are expanding our Fab Operations and are looking for Principal Engineer to l **ead team and work with modules/Yield Engineering engineers to drive for defect reduction and baseline yield improvement activities and to support on specified task/project basis / UMD in terms of performing defect characterization and defect source analysis at process development phase and drive for defect elimination solution.**:
**Your Job**:

- **Train YDD engineers/ Senior engineers for both FEOL and BEOL defect troubleshooting, defect characterization skill, defect reduction and yield improvement methodology**:

- **Master in operate and create recipes for all YDD tools for defect detection and analysis**:

- **Build and develop defect source library and tool’s defect source fingerprinting**:

- **Liaise with vendors on improvements on tools performance and to deliver new defect solutions using existing tool and BKMs**:

- **Master in process Defectivity knowledge for all modules and lead the overall YDD Taskforce Base Defectivity Reduction team**:

- **Track and monitor inline critical defect trend charts**:

- **Perform weekly update on Pareto of defects based on top killers so as to provide clear direction for CIP in modules**:

- **Perform product / process partitioning study for yield & defect characterization to drive for baseline defect improvement and understand kill ratio of defects**:

- **Work with Yield Engineering or Process engineers in different modules to troubleshoot for inline defects and be an active part of the team in defect reduction activities**:

- **Support yield prediction and integrated yield management activities**:

- **Support fab operation in terms of yield drift and yield recovery activities**:

- **Performing defect characterization and defect source analysis at new technology process development phase and drive for defect elimination CIP solution**:

- **Defect density trend by modules by technology**:

- **Detection capability**:

- **Delivered BKMs**:

- **Excursion reduction caused by defect issues**:

- **Baseline yield improvement on matured products**:

- **Responsible to deliver Fab D0 target to meet customer expectation**:

- **Responsible for wafer quality to conform to product requirements and have the authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems**:

- **Represent YDD and attend customer conferences call, customer visits and audits with knowledge and confidence**:
**Required Qualifications**:

- **PhD/Masters/Degree in Microelectronics/Electrical/Electronics/Chemical Engineering or Science in Physics/Material Science or related field**:

- **Minimum 8 years in **relevant **fab experience**:

- **Knowledge in defect or yield improvement skills is required**:

- **Good knowledge of defect reduction strategy, defect to yield correlation methodologies, existing defect solutions and its roadmap in the market**:
**Preferred Qualifications**:

- **Good interperso **nal and communication skills**:

- **Good analytical skills & project management**:

- **Organized and systematic in problem solving, familiar with SPC, DOE & FMEA**:

- **Great sense of responsibility and prepared to be on call for 24 hrs a day**:
