Singapore Accountant-General's Department Full time

**What the role is**

You will join the Accountant-General’s Department at the middle management level. You will be leading teams of internal audit (IA) professionals to provide Shared IA Services to any public agencies within the Singapore Government, to work with stakeholders to strengthen financial governance and/or build sectorial capabilities and community of practice amongst IA practitioners within the public sector, and to help professionalise Assurance’s Internal Audit practices.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

- Implement initiatives to build community of practice and raise the level of professionalism in the public sector IA. For instance, to work with the selected IA heads to drive the development of IA capabilities within the public sector.
- Direct the strategic planning, management and execution of audits for agencies under AGD’s shared IA services such as to lead audit teams to complete their engagement on a timely basis and with high audit quality.
- Manage and develop staff, e.g. to address staff training and development needs, by identifying suitable developmental opportunities for staff, to ensure a high level of performance and professionalism.
**Requirements**:

- Background experience in Accountancy
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in audit
- Good working knowledge and understanding of risk assessment, internal controls and adoption of data analytics
- Strong analytical skills, resourceful, meticulous
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills and able to interact with management at all levels

**What you will be working on**

**What we are looking for**
