**Filming**
He/She may be required to operate special-purpose cameras and camera equipment such as drones and gimbal to capture visuals that may not be captured by standard cameras. He/She may operate 360 Cameras and other equipment to capture live and recorded immersive content.
He/She may also use electronic video and audio technologies in order to gather and present news.
He/She should have strong knowledge of camera equipment and operations. He/She should possess the ability to visualise scenes. He/She should also have good technical knowledge of immersive video capture.
He/She must be able to work effectively in a team. He/She carries out long hours of physically demanding tasks, especially the capture of motion sequences. He/She works in an outdoors environment and may be required to travel.
**Editing**
He/She may need to be proficient in aspects of video editing. An area of specialisation is colour grading where he/she is required to digitally correct the colours in the footages to bring focus to visual elements in the footages. Another specialisation is online editing where he/she creates a final cut by combining all edited visual and audio elements. He/She is proficient in using video editing software.
He/She typically works indoors in a video editing studio, however, he/she may be required to travel at times, depending on the production requirements.
He/She is able to maintain a good rapport with the team and is able to provide creative direction during the video editing process. He/She should also be diligent in the storage and editing of the various versions of the video content.
**Tasks**
Filming
- Adjust technical parameters and monitor settings of the camera to achieve desired visual output.
- Allocate specific duties to camera crew who are working on the same camera to prevent any overlapping of job duties.
- Analyse storyboards to understand the sequencing of shots and visual style of production.
- Analyse weather conditions to determine the most appropriate way to capture outdoor shots.
- Assemble and test equipment for production and broadcast.
- Conduct functionality, camera settings and safety checks on equipment before starting the shoot.
- Decide on the frame for shots based on agreed visual parameters.
- Decide technical parameters such as focal distances for key shots to achieve desired visual output.
- Decide the movement paths and focus length paths of the camera for motion sequences.
- Determine production and broadcast requirements based on sets and locations.
- Execute camera choreography with the lighting crew allocated to the scene.
- Operate camera equipment during the shoot to capture required shots.
- Operate special-purpose camera and related equipment to capture special shots.
- Oversee the preparation, installation and testing of cameras and camera equipment before shooting.
- Plan the framing of shots for all scenes.
- Plan the positioning of cameras for specific shots.
- Provide guidance in camera mounting processes to achieve the desired range of motion.
- Review captured shots to check if desired visuals have been captured.
- Review the technical quality of captured shots to check if desired output has been achieved.
Editing
- Add subtitles, voiceover or commentary in final shots.
- Balance colour saturation across frames to achieve colour consistency.
- Check the formats to prepare for backup of materials.
- Communicate common goals and direction to staff.
- Create an assembly edit or rough cut of the content.
- Develop staff by mentoring and engaging in career discussions.
- Develop the edit decision list (EDL) to break down the edits required for each frame.
- Develop workflow action plans and timelines.
- Display effective performance management practices in accordance with company policies.
- Execute the composition of edited visual and audio requirements into final shots according to creative vision of production.
- Guide teams to visualise the flow of the story.
- Make changes to the edited footages based on input from the Creative Leadership team.
- Oversee the editing of all footages, sound, foley and special effects into the final cut.
- Oversee the sequencing of edited videos to ensure the edited videos are in a logical order aligned with the script.
- Perform back up of edited materials and archive them as necessary.
- Perform colour manipulation of footages to achieve desired visual effects.
- Produce video outputs in line with standards and regulations.
- Recommend required colour corrections to achieve desired visual impact based on the creative vision.
- Retrieve edited visual and audio requirements from Production teams.
- Review script, screenplay and the creative vision of the production.
**Job Type**: Permanent
**Salary**: $2,300.00 - $3,000.00 per month
Schedule:
