**Job Description**:
**Primary Objective**:

- Cover stocks in the Asia-ex Japan sectors and to undertake deep-dive research, financial modelling and conduct due diligence on companies and industries to generate value-added investment ideas.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Cover Asian sectors with primary focus on Asia-ex Japan stocks.
- Provide coverage and regular updates of stocks on the Buy Lists.
- Provide initiation of coverage of new stock ideas.
- Undertake research, financial modeling and conduct due diligence on companies and industries to generate value-added investment ideas.
- Write comprehensive research reports to support investment recommendations and present investment ideas to the CIO & portfolio managers.
- Provide regular idea generation and stock picks to CIO & portfolio managers.

**Coverage**:

- ** Sectors under coverage**: To be assigned to cover one or more of the sectors.
- ** Regional coverage**: Broad Asia-ex Japan focus.

**Supportive Roles**:

- Provide research support including IPO and sector teach-in.
- Provide support to the broader Group including preparation of marketing materials such as presentation slides, marketing materials and monthly newsletter.
- Support Chief Investment Officer and portfolio managers in selecting stocks that will add value to the funds under management.
- Provide support to any other projects as required by the needs of the Investment Team.
- Any Ad-hoc projects to be assigned by CIO or Head of Equity Research.

**Qualifications**:
**Formal Education**:

- Degree from a recognized university.

**Professional Accreditation**:

- Chartered Financial Analyst title is a plus.

**Preferred Level of Experience (by years/function/industry)**:

- At least 2 years of experience in equity research / portfolio management.

**Other Skills Required**:

- Excellent financial modelling and analysis skills is a pre-requisite.
- Quantitative finance skills set will be highly valued.
- Chartered Financial Analyst or working towards a CFA designation will be highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and writing skills.
- Must work well in a fast-paced environment with others in a closely knitted team, and yet be able to work independently.
