**Reporting to: Programme Head
**Position Summary**:
The Head of Mathematics and Science holds leadership responsibility for curriculum excellence and quality of classroom experience for our students. Equipped with many years of experience in teaching and curriculum, he/she must lead, motivate and inspire our Math and Science teachers to constantly improve their craft for excellent classroom delivery. He/she must also lead the curriculum team in writing and designing quality curriculum in line with Learning Point outcomes and up to date with the MOE syllabus. In addition, the Head must

champion new initiatives to promote strong relations with parents.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Assist or support the Programme Head in the operations need of all centres
- Manage and address the day-to-day operational issues of the teaching team and ensure efficient and appropriate solutions are created, communicated and implemented
- Ensure all lessons taught are aligned to the designed curriculum and to maintain the highest level of expectations from various stakeholders
- Ensure that every student is fully supported to his/her academic progress and personal development
- Ensure teachers are fully informed and engaged with company initiatives, including, but not exclusively, marketing and sales
- Contribute as a team member and lead by example to ensure smooth day-to-day operations in the centres
- Implement a robust quality and performance management system and culture of reflective practice
- Devise and implement an outstanding training and mentoring programme to engage teachers at various career stages and continually improve on their teaching practice
- Build a committed teaching team who is proud of their work, supportive and engaged in all aspects of the business and operations
- Support teachers and customer service team in handling customers’ feedback as necessary, including resolving issues and service recovery
- Collaborate with the Head of Curriculum (English) to ensure effective dialogue between teams to ensure that the classroom experience remains relevant and effective, and that the content of classes continually meets customer needs and expectations

**Qualifications/Skills/Requirements**
- Possess at least Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years teaching experience
- To teach on 4 weekdays with 1 evening and 1 weekend (Saturday or Sunday)
- Open to travel across branches
- Excellent communicator
- Strong team player
