**Role Summary**:
Maxeon is seeking an Intern to join the Global ESG team to elevate and integrate sustainability practices in the organization to positively impact the community and environment, while creating strategic value for Maxeon’s customers, employees and investors. The Global ESG Intern will report to the Global ESG Lead within the Legal Department.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Sustainability Reporting**:
Assists in the production of Maxeon’s inaugural sustainability report aligned to its recently completed materiality assessment exercise aligned to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and global reporting standards GRI, SASB and TCFD

**Benchmarking and Research**:
**Human Rights**: Performs due diligence, assessment and external monitoring to support our commitment to the Ten Principles

**Product Stewardship**: Supports development of global recycling policy through analysis of country’s regulations (EMEA, APAC, LATAM, Americas) and benchmarking of industry best practices

**Corporate Giving**: Identifies industry and global best practices for social and corporate giving policies and programs relevant for Maxeon. Support Maxeon Gives solar panels donation initiatives.

**Communications**:
Supports creation of collaterals to support communication efforts in promoting awareness of Maxeon’s sustainability efforts internally and externally through staff engagement channels and corporate website
Develops and coordinates staff engagement initiatives to raise awareness on ESG trends, issues and volunteering opportunities

**Others**:
Provides general administrative support to the Legal team and other ad hoc projects as assigned

**Relevant Experience and Educational Requirements**:
Minimum requirements
Current Undergraduate student preferably in Business, Communications, Design, Environment, Law, Engineering, Public Policy, Science, Sustainability, or equivalent
Passion in corporate sustainability and impact
Strong proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other related databases
Experience scheduling, setting up and administering global meeting facilities, technologies (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.), telephony, etc.
Able to prioritize, track details, and follow-through on assigned work
Preferred requirements
Technical expertise in Life Cycle Assessments, Cradle to Cradle Product Certification, NSF Landfill Free manufacturing, LEED, and other emerging eco-certificates to drive Maxeon manufacturing operations and product sustainability efforts
Understanding in Scope 1, 2 and 3 definition, data collection scope and process aligned to the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi)
General knowledge of global sustainability standards and reporting frameworks such as but not limited to UN SDGs, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) etc.
Able to multi-task efficiently, producing quality work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and anticipate needs
Energetic team player who is self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn
Outstanding organizational and planning skills
