Principal Engineer

Engine Life Management Team (ELMT) Asia Pacific Team, Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering (ASE) at Pratt & Whitney is seeking a **Principal Engineer - Industrial Engineer Lead **role to join our team in support of Technology Development and Industrialization within the Aftermarket Operations Technology Accelerator in this newly created role in the Technology Team. The ASE Technology Team works to develop and implement Technology strategies in the Aftermarket Operations Asia Pacific (AMO APAC) organization.

You will report directly under the Engine Life Management Team APAC (ELMT-APAC) and work functionally for the ASE Technology Team in support of the Aftermarket Operations APAC Business units. You will work closely with the respective business Technology Focal at all regional locations comprised of CAS, ESA, PWCS, TOS (Singapore), CHEC (Christchurch) and SEC (Shanghai) to lead and execute Technology and Transformation initiatives. Our team members are primarily located in Singapore but we work with the Pratt & Whitney enterprise across the world. We conduct studies, benchmark competitors, and develop and implement technologies, filling technical gaps.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Focused on industrial engineering requirements based on Aftermarket Operations' needs.
- Lead the industrial activities for the Tech Accelerator and Aftermarket Operations.
- Design and build FLEXSIM models (discreet advanced model to model transformation processes in shopfloor, measure input, output, KPI) of repair processes
- Represent ASE (ELMT-APAC & Technology Team) to establish comprehensive technology strategy in Industrial Engineer to support the AMO Technology deployment goals
- Lead and coordinate alignment between multiple groups and organizations to develop and deploy technology projects in AMO in Industrial Engineering
- Establish standard work and deliverables, including short
- and long-term objectives for technology strategic focus
- Use project management tools to drive growth across the ASE & AMO organization and performance against critical business KPIs
- Encourage technological innovation and process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, cost reduction and operational performances
- Work collaboratively with all levels of management, personnel, and customers, and have key skills in project management, general business, model/database building, and operational analytics
- Work collaboratively with other technology focals and process experts within Pratt and Whitney and our supply base.
- Support a safety-first work culture that exceeds safety performance goals and strives towards zero injuries
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable RTX and Pratt & Whitney policies and procedures including individual employee awareness of responsibility and accountability
- Demonstrate awareness of the businesses competitive position in relation to the representative marketplace, including macro factors and trends which influence overall business operations and execution

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Masters or advanced degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or in a similar field
- At least 7 years of experience with Cellular and Factory Simulation and Setup.
- Familiarity with FLEXSIM and APQP.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing a plus.
- Demonstrated success in program management, engineering, communications
- Project management experience and driving change management
- Strong leadership skills, critical thinking skills, business discernment, and ability to innovate
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Technical knowledge of Pratt & Whitney’s Engines Repair, PW Repair Centers, and PW Engine Services business is helpful
- Advanced knowledge & experience in aerospace, automotive, or industrial business. Aviation and Aftermarket experience would be a big plus
