**As a Database Administrator, the broad area of your job responsibilities will cover the following**:

- **Subject matter expert on database technologies such as MS SQL & Oracle, Sybase and Open Source Database (etc. MySQL< PostgreSQL, Maria DB)**:

- **Responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of database administration to meet the business needs and service level.**:

- Lead and provide technical advice to junior database administrators.
- Able to front customer.
- Lead and manage database changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
- Assist and respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
- Lead and monitor & measure the performance & availability of databases proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability.
- Ensure service level meet requirement. Propose and implement action plan when required.
- Keep abreast of database technologies.
- **Diploma/ Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent discipline**:

- **5 - 7 years of relevant experience in Database administration**:

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possess initiative with positive working attitudes and customer services oriented;
- Independent and goal-oriented;
- Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills;

**Salary**: $5,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Local Polytechnic Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Database administration: 5 years (preferred)
