**Duties and Responsibilities**

1. Practical experience in configuringrouters/switches (e.g., CISCO and Alcatel), Firewalls (PaloAlto

and Checkpoint), and intrusion detection/protectionsystems.

2. Administration, support & maintenance ofcampus-wide network infrastructure including the

following (but not limited to):
a.Cisco and Alcatel Switches

b.PaloAlto, Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper Firewalls.

c.Cisco Lightweight Access Points

d.Wireless controller and devices (Cisco and/or Alcatel/Aruba)

e.Aruba ClearPass (CPPM) - Network Access Control Appliance

f. F5LoadBalancer

g.Structured Cabling (UTP / Fiber)

3. Ensure that the campus network is in optimumperformance by continually reviewing areas of

improvement.

4. Recommend the optimum or alternative solutions

5. Monitor and maintain service availability

6. Accountable for network operations

7. Network fine-tuning, problem troubleshooting,interpretation of statistics and traffic pattern.

8. Firewall rules configuration and securitysetting.

9. Ensure procedures are documented

10. Ensure SOP are up-to-date

11. Ensure compliance to policies and procedures

12. Follow up on requests, deployments &incidents/issues (including escalation) and ensure proper

and timely closure

13. Ensure that relevant parties (including therequestor/users) are updated on the progress

14. Maintaining and upgrading Firmware / OS onNetwork Devices

15. Configuration and maintenance of Layer 2 andLayer 3 Switches

16. Configuration and Implementation of CoreFirewalls

17. Configuration and Implementation of NetworkAccess Control Appliance

18. Updating documentation and diagrams to anychanges to the environments

19. Experienced and familiarity with StructuredCabling, Network, and routing technologies,

network solutions i.e. using CISCO, Juniper,Alcatel network equipment

20. Responsible for working with the Service Desk& On-site Support Team to provide Network

support

**Qualifications**
- Degree or diploma in IT, Engineering or Computerscience
- Network Engineer shall have at least three (3)years hands-on experience
- Possess industry standard certificationsmínimally have CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

certification, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Managed Services and hands onexperience on LAN/WAN technologies
- Knowledge of Layer 2 & 3 Technologies: Goodknowledge of Switching technologies like VLAN's,

HSRP, Devices: Alcatel & Cisco switches,
- Be a Team player with good interpersonal andcommunications skills
- Customer oriented and be able to handle difficultsituations. With the drive and energy to explore

new ways of doing things to improve customerexperience.
- Network Engineer should have hands-on experienceand knowledge in administration and

troubleshooting of Firewalls (Palo Alto andCheckpoint Firewalls) and F5 Load Balancer
- Previous working experience in SOE environmentwill be preferred.
- Experience in managing / administration of ArubaClearPass is a plus.
