**_INVESTMENT ANALYST MANAGER_**:
**Description**:
The Investment Analyst will play a key role in informing Iberdrola Asia’s onshore business opportunities and will be passionate about providing evidence-based analysis and advice.

The primary responsibility of this role will be analysis and valuation of new capital investment opportunities within the Asian onshore renewable energy business by developing and maintaining Iberdrola’s in-house financial model to produce outputs for a range of internal stakeholders for decision making purposes. The initial focus countries are Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam and the Philippines. New countries will get added, as Iberdrola considers entering new markets.

Working closely with the development managers and the Investment Office in Madrid, the Investment Analyst will maintain a detailed financial model for all capital investment projects, and prepare investment papers and presentations for consideration of the board of directors.

**_RESPONSIBILITIES_**:

- Direct responsibility for the valuation of new renewable generation assets, including wind farms, solar farm and battery energy storage developments and providing advice on the profitability of new investments.
- Develop, test and maintain Iberdrola’s financial model for capital investment opportunities including the preparation of detailed financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow and levelised cost of energy).
- Prepare investment papers and presentations for senior management and board of directors to inform decision-making, including for favourable opportunities preparing all necessary information for consideration in the Operating Committee.
- Critical analysis of new investments including assess the financial risk assessment of new capital investment projects, and proposing alternatives for optimisation and risk mitigation.
- Ensure financial modelling, analysis and valuation comply with Iberdrola group investment standards, managing the consistency and coherence of information for decision-making.
- Work with the Control team to assess the renewable operational portfolio from the point of view of value, cost and profitability

**_REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS_**:

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in engineering, accounting, mathematics, economics, finance, or a related discipline.
- A qualification such as MBA with specialization in Finance or CFA or Master of Applied Finance is highly valued.

**_Languages_**:

- English (full professional competence), Spanish is a bonus.
- Knowledge of one or more Asian languages (Japanese, Korean, Mandarin) would be advantageous.

**Skills**:

- Strong desire for business and financial knowledge to be able to carry out analysis and valuations of different opportunities and carry out analysis of the profitability of the assets.
- Knowledge of the energy sector in general and the renewable sector.
- Analytical and numerical skills.
- Desirable to have valuation skills including business/company acquisition/disinvestment opportunities.

**Experience**:

- Ideally 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Experience in renewable energy financial modelling.
- Advanced skill with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to produce high quality reports and present outcomes internally and externally.
