An "Accounting Manager (excluding tax)" **oversees all aspects of a company's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) while specifically excluding any responsibilities related to tax planning and filing**.

Key responsibilities:

- **Financial Reporting**:Prepare and present accurate financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- **Accounting Operations Management**:Oversee day-to-day accounting functions like accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- **Internal Controls**:Design and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy.
- **Team Leadership**:Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, delegating tasks and ensuring timely completion of assignments.
- **Budgeting and Analysis**:Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions to senior management.
- **Compliance**:Ensure adherence to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- **Auditing Support**:Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.

Key points to exclude from this role:

- **Tax Planning and Filing**:This role would not be responsible for preparing tax returns, tax calculations, or any tax-related strategies.
- **Tax Compliance**:While general compliance with accounting regulations is expected, specific tax compliance activities are not included.

Required skills and qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional accounting designation preferred
- Strong understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)
- Proven experience managing accounting operations in a company
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools
