Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Windows Server Administration:

- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems and associated services, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Monitor server performance, analyze system logs, and address any issues proactively to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

2. Virtualization and Cloud Management:

- Manage virtualized environments, including VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V, to ensure efficient resource utilization and smooth operation of virtual machines.
- Collaborate with cloud service providers to maintain and optimize Windows workloads in public cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).

3. System Security and Patch Management:

- Implement security measures to safeguard Windows systems from potential threats, including malware, viruses, and unauthorized access.
- Ensure timely installation of security patches and updates on all Windows servers, minimizing potential vulnerabilities.

4. Backup and Disaster Recovery:

- Develop and maintain backup strategies to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness in case of system failures or emergencies.
- Regularly test and validate backup and recovery procedures to verify their effectiveness.

5. Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

- Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, system errors, and network issues.
- Optimize system configurations and resource allocations to enhance performance and scalability.

6. Incident Management and Support:

- Provide second and third-level support for Windows-related incidents and requests, resolving issues within agreed SLAs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents outside regular business hours.

7. Infrastructure Automation:

- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

8. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and provide training when required.

**Requirements**:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or VMware VCP will be an advantage.

2. Experience:

- Proven experience as a Wintel Engineer or in a similar role, managing Windows-based environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server versions (2008/2012/2016/2019), Active Directory, and related services.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.

3. Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation and system management.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP protocols, and network security.

4. Problem-solving Abilities:

- Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
- Capacity to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

5. Communication and Teamwork:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and stakeholders.
