**Treasury Contract - Treasury Systems and Processes**
Temasek Treasury has primary responsibilities in the following areas:
- Management and placement of Temasek’s cash balances in line with institutional needs;
- Management of FX exposures arising from Temasek’s balance sheet (assets, cash, liabilities);
- Management of long-term and short-term liabilities and overall governance framework;
- Development and cultivation of counterparties to ensure optimal pricing and execution capabilities;
- Advisory on Treasury’s areas of focus to Temasek’s eco-system of portfolio companies and platforms
In line with these responsibilities, the Treasury team comprises professionals experienced in public debt issuances, FX & rates markets, structuring, advisory, execution, and engagement of internal and external stakeholders to support institutional goals and advance Temasek’s eco-system of portfolio companies and platforms.
**Treasury Systems and Processes**
**Key Responsibilities**
Treasury systems and processes
- Co-drive with Treasury leadership the raising of systems and processes as a key enabler for team members to deliver work more efficiently and effectively
- Co-lead with Treasury leadership the fine-tuning of key systems (e.g. SCD, BidFX) to ensure that they are fit-for-purpose and upgraded to suit institutional aspirations
- Assist and project manage the review of operational processes across Treasury to ensure robustness and regular data reconciliation by process owners
Databases, reporting, and analytics, with focus on cash management projects
- Assist project leads in cash management initiatives such as streamlining of bank account structures, setting up of automated cash pooling structure to facilitate auto cash sweeps
- Engage internal and external stakeholders including banks and system vendors to coordinate and collate information to facilitate implementation of cash solutions
- Partner with Treasury team members to design databases required to support new processes (e.g. resulting from cash management initiatives and perform forward looking analytics to facilitate cash management decisions)
- Assist to build and maintain online reports (e.g. on Qlik and Tableau), dashboard and analytics which incorporate live positions for facilitating business decisions and management reporting
General Treasury projects
- Assist team in meeting increased baseload from regulatory regimes and widening business capacities
- (e.g. negotiation of counterparty agreements such as ISDA, Repo / GMRA, Initial Margin)
- Assist in engaging internal and external stakeholders effectively to maintain counterparty relationships
- (e.g. handling bank on-boarding or KYC processes)
- Help team coordinate and manage Treasury or cross-functional projects
**Qualifications / Capabilities / Experience**
- Good Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or Banking from a recognized university
- Strong track record, with at least 5-7 years of direct experience in Treasury, Cash Management or Operations of financial institutions/large corporates
- Working knowledge of treasury management systems is a requisite
- Experience in SimCorp Dimension (SCD), BidFX and/or Qlik will be a strong advantage
- Meticulous, detailed oriented and analytical with good judgement and ability to navigate complex structures and multi-task under a fast-paced and changing environment
- Excellent project management skills and time management
- Good team player who can also independently engage internal/external stakeholders effectively to solve problems
