The Clinical Research & Innovation Office (CRIO) promotes and coordinates research activities in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) It is equipped with skills and capabilities through her staff to effectively support the research enterprise of the Hospital. It’s Clinical Trial Unit manages clinical trials conducted within TTSH and aims to establish mutually productive relationships within the industry/principal investigator by understanding the study’s priorities and goals, meeting timelines, and providing an efficient contract and budget negotiation workflow.

As a Manager of the Clinical Trial Unit, you will oversee the implementation of strategic programs, to facilitate clinical research and innovation talent development, core research infrastructure support, clinical trials validation and digitalization of research workflow. You will:
- Identify potential areas of growth in terms of revenue and relationship building for CRIO
- Engage relevant internal and external stakeholders, which includes academics and industry, to strengthen existing and form new collaborations
- Oversee the business development for the unit, through joint and strategic partnerships with key industry players
- Oversee the unit’s operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities, to ensure optimal research utilization
- Conduct budget negotiation for every proposed clinical trial and ensure proper budget management and utilization
- Ensure that research activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory and audit requirements
- Develop and formulate plans, procedures, work processes/instructions to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Monitor clinical trial activities and outcome for management reporting

You will be responsible for the organization and monitoring of work process, as well as the professional development and continuous learning of the unit, to accomplish the department’s objective. You will also be involved in the planning, driving and management of TTSH Clinical Trials and quality improvement projects.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor in relevant degrees, such as Nursing, Pharmacy, Science, etc
- At least 8 years of experience in clinical research and clinical trials setting and at least 2 years in supervisory roles
- Have keen interest in research and interacting with people
- Possess in-depth knowledge of trial procedures, IRB and HAS requirements, as well as relevant regulations and guidelines
- Strong organization, management and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and writing communication and interpersonal skills
