Bartenders will be hired as individuals responsible in the production of beverages in the restaurant.
The bartender is an expert in spirits, liqueurs and cocktails. These individuals will be tasked to ensure
quality beverages are dispensed from the bar and the maintenance of inventory with the direct
supervision of the Beverage Manager. He/she knows his/her way around the different styles of
beverages served at the restaurant and the techniques required to craft & serve.
The bartender can comfortably recommend a glass of wine, a cocktail or an aperitif to our guest.
The bartender has a strong knowledge of food in general and beverage menu in particular. Their
skills must be at the same level as a captain, as many guests choose to dine at the bar. All
beverages, apart from wine will be dispensed from the Bar via the Bartenders. Bartenders will be
schedules from 10am till 2 am to provide beverage sales coverage through the day, all operational
days.
DUTIES
1. To prepare and service alcoholic and on-alcoholic beverages to bar customers or through
beverage runners.
2. Ability to comfortably recommend a glass of wine, a cocktail or an aperitif to our guest.
3. Knowledge of food in general and beverage menu in particular.
4. Ensure efficiency in daily set-up and closing.
5. Ensure that all beverages are of a high standard and produced in a timely fashion.
6. Accurate recording of drinks ordered and process payment for guests.
7. Monitor daily inventory as well as restocking of ingredients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide excellent customer service to bar customers by making recommendation and answering
all enquiries.
2. Preparation of all types of beverages (alcoholic & non-alcoholic)
3. Upsell of drink and bar snack items to guests.
4. Ensure cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene standards are met for all glassware, equipment and
working area.
5. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of bar area and storage space and rectify deficiencies
as requested
6. Inventory of bar equipment, stocks and supplies
7. Assist the Beverage Manager in the creation of classic and innovative drinks to exceed guests’
expectations.
8. Ability to be an expert in spirits, liqueurs and cocktails by knowing the different styles of
beverages served at the restaurant and the techniques required to craft and serve.
9. Daily operation set-up and closing
10. Ensuring consistency and quality of drinks produced in timely fashion
