**Our Client**:
Our client is a leading food manufacturing and distribution company with footprints across Asia, Middle East, and Europe. They are actively looking to hire a Procurement Manager to take lead of procurement process and to maintain its competitive position in the industry through effective strategies.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Handle procurement of direct materials, spare parts, and services timely and effectively to ensure continuous business operation
- Ensure purchasing policies and processes are in place to meet operational needs and business objectives
- Create and review opportunities to implement better purchasing policies and procedures to improve business performance
- Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions, and deadlines with vendors/ suppliers to secure terms
- Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements, propose new materials for cost saving or mitigate supply risks
- Implement and monitor cost reduction opportunities through continuous development of alternate materials/ vendors with conformity of company standards
- Manage efficient flow of direct materials to ensure optimum production
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure specifications and expectations of company are met
- Work closely with vendors/ suppliers for cost reduction opportunities
- Support R&D projects with both local and imported materials
- Monitor and update fluctuation of direct materials price including vendor’s pricing
- Approve goods and services orders, finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
- Control and build long-term saving on procurement costs
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreement

**The Requirements**:

- Diploma/ Degree in Procurement/ Supply chain or relevant discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience with knowledge in FMCG or CPG Industry
- Strong knowledge on import/export procedures as well as implications of global purchasing and supply logistics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate efficiently
- Excellent negotiation skills with resolution techniques
- Must be comfortable travelling to meet with suppliers
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressureTags
