EHS Engineer in our organisation will be responsible for the proper development of plans, programs, and procedures to ensure a healthy, safe and environmentally compliant workplace. Act as a role model with regard to the plant safety rules, train and assist all other personnel to understand and follow the same rules.

Key Responsibilities

**1. Responsible for the daily execution of EHS & Security matters on site.**
- Review environment, health and safety related regulations, and other written material. Update or develop plant EHS rules and procedures as required.
- Provide guidance and support to all personnel concerning environment, safety, health, industrial hygiene and fire protection.
- Ensures site compliance with government regulations, company EHS standards and site procedures.
- Owns relationship and communication with external regulatory agencies and provides necessary follow-up for inspections by regulatory agencies.
- Maintains high level of readiness and emergency preparedness, provides for the appropriate testing, maintenance and replacement of all equipment and personnel necessary to meet the needs of the site.
- Conducts risk assessments to determine potential gaps in safety, security and regulatory processes and enacts measures to reduce and resolve risks.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment by maintaining a strong relationship with our employees and contractors and encourage a positive attitude about personnel safety and process safety.
- Provide support such as, but not limited to, Hot Work Permits, Confined Space Entry Permits, Line Breaking/Process Entry Permits, Emergency Response and Incident Investigations.
- Directs investigations and analysis of accidents/incidents and provides recommended corrective actions to reduce or resolve; ensure compliance to company and regulatory event reporting and investigation requirements.
- Conduct industrial hygiene surveys as necessary throughout the plant. Take corrective actions as required and communicate results to all affected individuals.
- Administer inspections and audits related to the Environment, Safety and Health Field.
- Execution of site security management.
- Execute and ensure compliance of waste management and resources.
- Provide support to comply with regulatory programs such as Process Safety Management and Safety Case. This could include participation in such functions as Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Change, Operational Readiness Inspections, development of Process Safety Information, and providing input into written operating procedures.
- Practice Responsible Care through active participation and adherence to the guiding principles of the Responsible Care Management System.
- Conduct regular meeting with members of the Workplace Safety & Health Committee to improve and promote a safe and healthy work environment. Act as secretary in the “Workplace Safety & Health Committee”.

**2. Training administration and management**
- Responsible for partnering with all site functional departments to identify, develop, and implement training and programs required to meet regulatory compliance.
- Train personnel, including contractors in the knowledge and skills necessary to meet all regulatory safety, health, environmental and security Training requirements.
- Oversees the Site Training Plan and coordinate training for Singapore site.
- Assists as needed in the development and evaluation of training programs.
- Assist in the accurate record keeping of all training performed on and off site.
- Assist the Manager in training needs analysis as required.
- Perform training evaluations to assess the effectiveness of training programs, and make recommendations where necessary for improvement of the programs.
- Develop testing and audit mechanisms for training curriculum and courses implemented.
- Assist in developing training manuals for new capital projects.
- Administers oversight and upgrades to contractor, visitor, and new employee orientations and training.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all departments for effective implementation of job training, skills training and certification training according to departmental training plans.

**3. Maintenance of Integrated Management System**
- Implement and follow ISO-9001, ISO-50001, process safety management system and Occupational Health & Safety management programs, policies, and procedures outlined by the standard, including updating all departmental procedures, files as new revisions are received.

**Salary**: Up to $75,000.00 per year
