**About the Role**

Our client is seeking a forward-thinking and collaborative _Scientific Director _to lead the scientific strategy and integration of its cancer research consortium. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will be responsible for directing the consortium’s translational research focus, aligning cross-disciplinary efforts, and enhancing collaboration across key platforms in data, biobanking, and clinical trials.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide scientific leadership and strategic direction across programmes and partnerships.
- Drive alignment and prioritization of translational research efforts across institutional and industry collaborators.
- Uphold high standards of scientific integrity and foster innovation throughout the research pipeline—from lab discovery to population-level outcomes.
- Act as a senior liaison with investigators, partners, and funding bodies to shape collaborative research efforts.
- Lead the development of research infrastructure, including data and specimen platforms that enable cutting-edge research.

**Qualifications**
- An MD, PhD, or equivalent with recognized expertise and leadership in oncology research.
- Proven experience in leading multi-institutional and cross-disciplinary research initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in building research networks, translational pipelines, or national infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
