Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement facilities management strategies and programs to ensure optimal operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the execution of the annual preventive maintenance program for the park.
- Lead a group of maintenance team and appointed contractors to ensure timely execution of scheduled preventive maintenance and prompt resolution of breakdowns and repairs.
- Budget planning, resource allocation, and cost control for operational and capital expenditure (OPEX and CAPEX) to achieve cost efficiency and value optimisation.
- Plan and manage capital and operational expenditure projects, including scope definition, consultancy engagement, procurement coordination, tender management, and securing necessary approvals.
- Monitor and analyse monthly utilities consumption, propose conservation measures, and oversee the implementation of energy-saving initiatives.
- Review and refine specifications for contract calling, handle tender preparation, and make recommendations for awards. Assist in evaluating end-user project scopes and specifications for upgrading works.
- Ensure all maintenance, repair, and upgrading works comply with specifications, quality standards, and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Lead and manage the handover process for completed development projects, ensuring timely follow-up on defect rectification.
- Oversee the renewal of all licenses and certifications to ensure compliance with relevant authorities.
- Prepare departmental reports, present updates to management, and participate in regular meetings.
Job Requirements:
At least 10 years of relevant experience in facilities management.
- Possess an accredited diploma or degree in Engineering, Building and Estates Management.
- Strong understanding of facilities management and engineering.
- Good working knowledge of buildings’ rules & regulations and authorities' requirements.
- Self-driven, resourceful, strong in project management and capable of managing multiple projects efficiently.
- Team player and able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Good analytical, presentation, communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
- Professional qualifications such as License Electrical Worker; Fire Safety Manager (FSM); Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) and Water Efficiency Manager (WEM) will be an added advantage.
