Job Description:
SUMMARY
The Snr Director, Affiliate CS is a leadership role within our market leading affiliate Client Services team. This role will take the lead role in building and developing our South East Asia, Korea and India focused team, a region of significant potential growth. Client mix will be split between our largest Global advertisers, across Retail and Travel, and high growth regional / local brands.
Working closely with the SVP, APAC you will develop a strategy for growth through optimization of existing client and internal relationships (across BUs and Geographies) and through winning in new territories. You will be tasked with delivery and implementation of this strategy.
You will be responsible for senior client stakeholder management, affiliate strategy as we scale our client’s sales growth within the affiliate marketing channel. You will be responsible for line management of up to 4 individuals, and a further 10 indirect reports, maintaining a high performing team mindset.
You will be accountable for delivering our internal revenue targets, looking for ways to grow existing clients and manage efficiency to grow margin. Building a great relationship with Global counterparts will be essential to success in the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Departmental leadership_
- Work with global leadership to define and implement regional strategy in line with agreed objectives
- Work collaboratively with the other APAC regional leads (ANZ and GCN) to ensure seamless client experience across geographies
- Identify risks and opportunities within the channels and implement appropriate solutions
- Communicate and collaborate strategically and efficiently with global RA counterparts, ensuring our APAC team’s knowledge and expertise is greater than our Global peers
- Represent the SEA+KR+IN region on product development calls and push for solutions to meet the unique requirements of your region
- Leading performance marketing platform relationships and strategies_
Develop and nurture key partner relationships, strategies and programs.
- Support your team to build and execute full funnel affiliate strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
- Identify new territory opportunities and build solutions for success
- Own ongoing training and continuing education responsibilities for your team, to ensure team members are current on the latest channel practices and strategies
- Keep firm pulse on the industry and ensure latest platform features are adopted to keep us competitive and moreover, to continually meet/exceed client need
- Campaign performance_
- Ensure your team understand and deploy proper definition of success metrics, validating campaign KPIs through SOW process
- Lead team in driving strategies that are aligned to client goals, exceeding expectations
- Hold your team accountable to consistency in end client reporting, Account Review templates and 2 status call deliverables, plus overall client engagement approach
- Client management_
- Own senior level client relationships and work to contribute strategic value beyond day-to-day operations
- Understand client needs and help the team develop strategies to meet key objectives and ultimately grow revenue
- Cultivate and grow client relationships to ensure a high level of satisfaction and positive experience focused on growing return/retained business and revenue
- Build out team strategies & planning that will grow revenue from existing and new client relationships
- Show leadership and best practice in account management and implement client retention strategies
- Team management_
- Inspirational leadership and management of your team. Set and manage team goals and expectations, with progression planning and skills development
- Engender a culture among team members where they feel supported and open to express new ideas
- Socialize Affiliate team’s KPIs among team members and champion diligence in driving towards these success metrics
- Support team members on further developing required skills and competencies that promote mastery of their current role, while helping them strive towards their next developmental goal
- Work with your Global counterparts to ensure clear technical and soft skill training is provided, as we increase performance solutions expertise across the team
- Leads internal and external strategic planning sessions and Think Tanks
- Hold weekly meetings with team members to review client program performance, launch pipeline, marketing strategy, and status of execution vs. planned marketing/strategy tactics
- Business growth & financial management_
- Own revenue budget and forecasting process for your portfolio of Affiliate clients
- Manage portfolio to 100%+ of revenue goal by reviewing weekly MTD revenue vs. goal, working with your team to understand root causes, and putting recovery plans in place
- Takes ownership of closing monthly billing cycle
