Join us as a **General Manager - Integrated Logistics (Singapore) **in **Ben Line Integrated Logistics Singapore **.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
1. To manage the overall Integrated Logistics business performance of Singapore.
2. Implement agreed business plans for Singapore, within the timeframes stipulated, and keeping senior management regularly updated with progress.
4. Instill a strong culture of excellence in customer service across the teams.
5. Maintain compliance to ISO accreditation.
**Business Strategy
1. In conjunction with senior management, develop and implement the Integrated Logistics business plan. This should include business development, operational and financial plans.
2. Implement clear communication and reporting protocols that provides transparency on the current business activities, upcoming activities, and allows visibility between all stakeholders.
3. Achieve targets for sales growth, revenue, profits.
4. Provide recommendations for investments which should be based on sound financial projections.
5. Analyze data on past and present work to make estimates about the best options for future growth.
**People
6. If required, design and implement an optimal organization structure.
7. Work with the existing staff and in conjunction with management to select new people who can join the team.
8. Develop processes to enhance a customer-service culture throughout the team.
9. Collaborate with colleagues at all levels and proactive share information.
**Business Development
10. Attend meetings with customers on a frequent basis with a view to becoming the “face” of the company.
11. Work closely with the Group Commercial Team & OMRs to generate proposals and bidding for Group Key Accounts and foreign customers.
12. Network and build positive rapport with customers and vendors.
13. Watch and react to market/customer trends.
**Operations**
14. Lead the marine operations team by assigning work, vessels and any ad-hoc jobs as necessary.
15. Ensure vessels are accounted for and that reporting to customers is done in a timely and orderly manor matching or surpassing their agreed expectations.
17. Oversee cargo operations in conjunction with appropriate managers.
18. Ensure projects are executed efficiently and delivery is made on time.
19. Standardize documentation & internal procedures.
20. Oversee a compliant vendor list.
21. Initiate cost savings through operating efficiency enhancements and procurement negotiations.
22. Maintain compliance to ISO accreditation.
**Other Matters**
23. Manage the business safely resulting in zero lost time incidents to customers and no injuries to personnel.
24. Actively participate in the roll-out of new systems in the business like CargoWise, Port360, Coupa.
25. Take on other works as / when required by management.
**Job Specifications**:
- Minimum ten (10) years of relevant experience, preferably in the shipping, logistics and/or offshore / project logistics industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Preferably someone who is culturally astute and able to work across multiple cultures.
- Preferably someone who has led a team of ten (10) or more with at least three (3) direct reports.
- A supportive personality along with positive attitude.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills.
