**About the Role**

Care is looking for a passionate and experienced **Manager, UI/UX**to lead our design team in the fast-evolving healthcare and wellness space. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who is both strategic and collaborative, eager to shape impactful user experiences across our digital health ecosystem.

As the **Manager, UI/UX**, you will own the design strategy and guide your team in delivering seamless, user-centred solutions that serve our patients, clinicians, and corporate clients. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure our products not only look great but also feel intuitive and accessible. **1. Design Vision & Strategy**
- Define and communicate a compelling UI/UX vision and strategy aligned with Care’s mission and business goals.
- Identify design opportunities by analysing user needs, healthcare/wellness trends, and competitive landscapes to enhance usability, user satisfaction, and market differentiation.
- Advocate for design excellence within the organisation, building strong cross-functional relationships and influencing product direction.

**2. Leadership & Team Development**
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing UI/UX team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and design excellence.
- Cultivate team growth through coaching, skills development, and performance management.

**3. End-to-End Design Delivery**
- Oversee the full design lifecycle, from user research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and final implementation, ensuring usability, accessibility, and design excellence standards are met.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design with product goals and technical feasibility, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

**4. User-Centred Design & User Research**
- Champion user research as a core input to product strategy, embedding research into the design and development process.
- Plan, oversee, and execute research activities, gathering insights from diverse user groups including patients, clinicians, and corporate clients.
- Translate research findings into actionable product recommendations, driving data-informed design decisions and roadmap prioritisation.

**5. Design Systems & Quality Assurance**
- Own the development and governance of design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality across Care’s digital products.
- Lead regular design reviews and enforce quality standards to uphold design excellence.

**6. Stakeholder Management & Communication**
- Serve as a key design advocate and liaison with executive leadership, partners, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on design objectives and priorities.
- Clearly articulate design rationale, progress, and impact to both technical and non-technical audiences.

**7. Data-Informed Design Decision Making**
- Implement frameworks to measure user engagement and design effectiveness.
- Use data insights to validate design choices and drive continuous enhancements that boost user satisfaction and business results.

**8. Process Optimisation & Documentation**
- Identify and implement improvements in design processes to increase team efficiency and output quality.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of design standards, workflows, and best practices to support team alignment and knowledge sharing.

**What We’re Looking For**
- 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with experience in a leadership or management role preferred.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering digital products in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Expertise in user research and skilled at translating user insights into strategic product decisions.
- Strong people management skills, including team development, performance management, and mentorship.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

**Nice-to-Have**
- Experience in healthcare or insurance industry
- Background in service design or multi-channel experience design.
