Senior Manager/Manager (HR Business Partner)
[What the role is:]
You will be part of the HR Business Partners team in the People Matters Division (PMD) of the National Library Board (NLB). You will partner business units, divisions and groups to co-create and implement people strategies to meet business objectives and outcomes, within HR policy parameters, so as to achieve NLB’s vision and mission. You will also provide advice and support to business units in all people matters so that they have the optimal manpower resources and capabilities to deliver their work. This is done professionally through effective engagement, clear communications and smooth delivery of HR services to the leaders, managers and staff of the business units.
[What you will be working on]
- Work with Divisions on Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) to anticipate the businesses’ current and/or future manpower and capabilities needs
- Partner Divisions in the review of organisational structure, facilitating job re-design and managing staff communication
- Provide Business Solutioning & HR Consultancy by assisting Divisions on HR matters and guiding them in HR best practices. These include the managing of employee grievance cases, facilitating annual performance ranking sessions, advising on staff retention matters etc.
- Engage employees regularly to suss out ground sentiments, reflect views for management’s review, and maintain active communication with line managers
- Work seamlessly within PMD to support the implementation of HR and change initiatives and to provide relevant feedback to aid in the review of HR policies and processes
[What we are looking for]
- Preferably 2-3 years of relevant working experience in HR and/or Business Partnering
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Resourceful and able to solve problems creatively
- Able to multi-task and deliver in a dynamic work environment
- Good team player
Successful applicant will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
