Senior project engineers must be able to effectively manage their teams while also providing technical guidance on how to best approach each phase of the project. This requires strong leadership skills as well as an understanding of how all aspects of the project fit together.
- Manage all aspects of projects from design to implementation
- Conduct research on current trends in engineering technology to identify new techniques that may improve project efficiency or performance
- Develop and manage budgets for projects according to client requirements
- Provide technical support to junior engineers throughout the duration of a project
- Conduct regular progress meetings with team members to identify and resolve issues
- Coordinate with clients to develop design specifications to meet their needs
- Provide technical support for projects including planning, organization, and oversight
- Create and update engineering drawings, diagrams, schematics, blueprints, etc.
- Ensure that the design meets industry standards and complies with all local codes and regulations
