**What the role is**
- MCCY’s Emergency Preparedness (EP) Unit collaborates with Homefront Ministries and Emergency Agencies to drive and coordinate whole of government emergency preparedness efforts across our agencies for National Emergency (NE) and peacetime contingencies. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the officer will work with stakeholders to ensure our Ministry and family of agencies are trained and operationally ready.

**What you will be working on**
- As part of our crisis preparedness efforts, you will develop and implement policies, plans and SOPs. You will implement a training and outreach program to increase MCCY officers and agencies’ crisis managers awareness of and preparedness for national and civil emergencies. To maintain our state of operational readiness, you will collaborate with other Homefront agencies and partners to plan and conduct exercises, work with our divisions and agencies to ensure our business continuity and crisis management plans, policies and operational SOPs are in place and validated.
You will support EP systems’ development and roll-out (e.g., incident management system, intranet etc.), and work with our stakeholders to set-up and upkeep the Ops Centre. Other administrative responsibilities include ensuring proper record keeping for knowledge sharing and transfer, budget management and other duties to support the smooth running of the unit.

**What we are looking for**
- At least 3 years of emergency preparedness or crisis management experience, developing emergency plans and exercise planning.
- Understands the national security framework and HRAF requirements
- Analytical and meticulous, able to work within tight deadline
- A self-starter who can work with ambiguity and adapt quickly to fast and evolving situations
- Able to work independently as well as in teams
- Excellent writing, communications, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data management and presentation
