investing in the lives of at-risk children, youth and their families in order to develop mature, responsible
followers of Jesus Christ.

**Position Summary**:The** **Early Impact childcare teacher will be responsible for caring for and educating
the children of Urban Impact staff. Teachers will work with program manager to plan and organize
activities to provide a safe, quality, and enjoyable learning environment for UIF’s youngest students.

**Responsibilities** may consist of but are not limited to:

- Creating and implementing monthly/weekly lesson plans
- Possibly opening/closing the classrooms at the beginning/end of the day.
- Prepping supplies for lessons in advance.
- Gross motor activities
- Quarterly developmental assessments
- Distributing parent provided lunches and snacks to children
- Make sure that each child is being well cared for during the day by performing a variety of tasks

such as diapering/toileting, napping, feeding, playing, etc.
- Maintaining open communication with program manager, co-teachers and parents
- Clean the nursery and classroom spaces daily
- Provide spiritual development for the children through Bible stories and songs

**Required Qualifications**:

- Education and training in childcare is encouraged and helpful for this position
- Desire to care for, educate and disciple young children

**Pay Rate**: $15/hour
