
Assistant Manager, Policy

The Policy & Planning department in SBF engages and partners stakeholders from businesses, trade associations and chambers, and government agencies to co-develop policy positions and advocate for pro-enterprise policies to support the needs of the Singapore business community.
The Assistant Manager plays a key supporting role by providing end-to-end support for the department’s engagement activities with external stakeholders. This role also supports SBF’s internal organisational strategy and governance through the corporate reporting process.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work collaboratively with team members to conceptualise and organise key events such as ministerial dialogues, fireside chats, and company visits to facilitate engagement and interaction between private and public sector stakeholders.
- Provide end-to-end support for successful event execution, such as planning of event concept and modality, coordination with event partners and vendors, managing pre
- and post-event marketing, overseeing all event-related logistics and conducting post-event analysis.
- Partner with the business community and relevant stakeholders on collaboration initiatives or projects for ecosystem and industry development.
- Develop collaterals to demonstrate SBF’s role as a bridge, enabler, and facilitator through its policy messages, activities, and projects.
- Support the end-to-end corporate planning process including the reporting of key performance indicators to the SBF Council (Board equivalent), coordination of divisional work plans, and planning of work plan-related staff activities and retreats.
**Job Requirements**
- A background in Business Administration, Events Management, Public Relations or a relevant discipline.
- Prior working experience in the private or public sector on policies related to businesses or in policy development roles will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of and interest in the key concerns and challenges of the Singapore business community, especially SMEs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Proactive and possess the drive and resourcefulness to work independently.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to bring various parties together to achieve results.
