Senior Manager, Risk Management
**Job Purpose**
- This position will report to the Director, Strategy and Risk Management. As a leading member of the team, you will be responsible for driving and implementing the Trains’ risk management policy and procedure, as well as the necessary coordination with the operational units and reporting to the Management and Board. This is key in ensuring that SMRT Trains continues to provide a safe & reliable railway service and in a sustainable manner to support all the organisational objectives.
**Responsibilities**
- Business partnering with the lines / divisions on risk management activities to facilitate comprehensive risk identification, assessment, and mitigation through customized risk workshops for the divisions/department.
- Sustain and improve on SMRT Trains risk governance and reporting, including advising and interacting with senior management and board members on risk management.
- Advise management with analysis and recommendations for risk control efficiency, cost of risks and risk control and improved risk management process.
- Drive and enforce all relevant Trains risk management policies and procedures. This includes advise and educate internal stakeholders on Trains risk management policies and procedures.
- Drive risk awareness and improve risk competency across SMRT Trains, through training and communications.
- Drive process productivity by leveraging on IT system and tools.
- Prepare reports and perform secretariat duties at board, management and key stakeholders meetings.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members and the Trains community in the field of risk management.
- Drive or partake in projects and initiatives which strengthen risk management in SMRT Trains
- Serve as a key resource to Director, Strategy and Risk Management in all matters related to Trains governance and risk management.
- The position demands strong interpersonal skills to create partnership with business process, control and policy owners, internal audit, and external stakeholders. The ability to work independently with a positive attitude, dedication, and meticulousness are essential qualities for this role.
**Qualifications & Work Experience**
- Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 7 years of working experience with at least 5 years in managing risks and supporting multiple groups of risk owners will be an advantage.
**Skills**
- Possess positive attitude and good communications skills with ability to work across functional teams.
- High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills with good stakeholder management skills.
