Strong managerial skills
- Strong customer relations in China, HK and Macau
- In-depth knowledge about the financial credit markets is a must, focused mainly on Fixed Income Securities but may also tackle the other facets of bonds such as Floaters, CoCos, and Convertibles. Familiarity with related products e.g. CDS, NDF are favorable
- Assess current market conditions (news, US Treasury movement, equities, etc) and determine how they affect fixed income price levels
- Prior knowledge and experience in either High Grade (Investment Grade) or High Yield products including its market and technical intricacies is a must
- Converse with clients on latest market developments both in the region as well as developments which have transpired in parallel markets in in the Mid-East, Europe and the Americas
- Update clients on price movement (better bids and offers) in a quick and efficient manner
- Above average communication, negotiation and persuasion skills in order to communicate, deal and execute market orders effectively to both customers and colleagues on-site or off-site (client calls).
- Announce clearly and swiftly if a trade consummates, with proper market color and commentary to provide customers enough info for their next course of action
- Suggest/ contribute in business development and new products as needed
- Aptitude to obtain and onboard new accounts in a timely manner to compliment the needs of the desk
- The ability to be able to resolve issues swiftly and decisively when the need arises
- The capacity to be a team player especially in an environment when client interest is of utmost priority, broker should be able to support positive
- team atmosphere in which members participate, respect and cooperate with each other to achieve desired results
- Track client’s transactions with accurate volume and counterparty accounted for
- Ability to input prices and trades in Amstel internal system as well as have the familiarity to run the platform for clients and for the desk as need arises
- Record and report weekly developments, to be consolidated in a week-end commentary
- Duly perform occasional Broker-of-the-day duties on market session breaks to ensure continuity for clients
