**About the Role**:
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be based at ALPS HQ, and you will be part of the Strategic Procurement team that supports the Procurement and Contract management services to the organization in terms of medical implants purchases. You will provide proactive planning and value add to hospital/institution purchases.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Sourcing & Category Management for Medical, Lab Supplies and Equipment**
- Plan, strategize, analyze and implement sourcing strategy in category sourcing and supplier initiatives and be accountable for the outcomes.
- Lead product/ service work streams and execute the Request for Proposal (RFP) process through strategic sourcing concept to help reduce the total cost of ownership.

**Engage Stakeholders**
- Review the status of contracted activities and strategic approach to fulfilment of contracts together with users and buyers.
- Advocate continuous improvement in all aspects of the sourcing and procurement process to enhance services and ensure an uninterrupted supply of products and services.

**Evaluation of Products and Services**
- Coordinate and convene meetings with users together with institutional procurement executives for each evaluation of product and/or services to ensure the most cost-effective acquisition.
- Ensure that procurement of products and services is always carried out fairly and objectively in compliance with procurement policies.
- Drive the need to consolidate, rationalize and streamline for better savings

**Lead in Supplier Negotiation and Selection**
- Analyze the total cost of ownership, evaluate and negotiate with participating suppliers and establish and maintain the contractual and business relationship with suppliers and monitor supplier performance.

**Management of Vendor Performance**
- Manage suppliers' performance through systematic tracking and monitoring and constantly looking for better ways to improve suppliers' performance.
- Maintain regular updates with suppliers and procurement executives on contract and operational issues and ensure that problems are resolved quickly.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Biomedical Science, Supply Chain, Business, Commerce/ Finance, Nursing or equivalent
- Prior experience/ knowledge of various equipments and supplies used in Lab would be an added advantage.
