WE ARE LOOKING FOR.....

Work with Head of Healthcare, Head - Healthcare Programme Office, Group Healthcare, and other key stakeholders across AIA Singapore to provide a clinical perspective and medical inputs for specific initiatives and projects within the Healthcare Transformation Programme (HTP).

AIA has embarked on a multi-year Healthcare Transformation programme to enhance its healthcare proposition, strengthen its health and wellness ecosystem and ensure the financial sustainability of its healthcare portfolio by implementing changes and new capabilities across multiple functional areas including product, agency, underwriting, provider partnerships, claims and analytics.

The primary roles and responsibilities of the Healthcare Principal will be to:

- Contribute to the product design process by providing medical insights and evaluation on Health Services that will enhance quality and customer experience
- Contribute, from a clinical standpoint, to the design and delivery of AIA’s wellness proposition
- Work with the Claims team to design and implement clinical pathways, establish a clinical Governance policy and to support review of cases where medical treatment can be improved
- Support the building of strategic relationships with leading hospitals to define and deliver clinical quality measures and AIA service propositions at the hospitals, incl. alternative reimbursement models
- Support the Provider Engagement and Quality team with our relationships and management of the AIA Quality Healthcare Partner Network, where necessary
- Render case specific clinical advice to facilitate claims adjudication, as needed
- Provide health talks on medical trends to agents
- Undertake assessment / review of clinical outcomes and KPIs of our healthcare partners
- Support identification of opportunities for AIA to engage/partner with healthcare ecosystem players
- Work with the Enterprise Analytics team to provide clinical insights on claims experience and emerging trends in health claims

The workstreams under the Healthcare Transformation Programme are:

- Product changes
- Healthcare ecosystem development
- Digital Health journey
- Pre-authorisation
- Claims optimisation
- Improving third party recovery
- Enhancement of provider steerage and fee structure
- Agency engagement on healthcare metrics and initiatives
- Underwriting investigations of early claims and suspicious cases
- Analytics and financials

Requirement
- Medical degree, preferably from a local university
- At least 10 years working experience in healthcare
- Good understanding of the healthcare system in Singapore
- Exposure to health insurance functions
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or projects effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong and effective interpersonal relationship skills and a team player.
- Analytical problem solving/decision making and judgment skills.
