**Job Title: Motor Car Spray Painter**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Surface Preparation**:Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming.
Fill and smooth out imperfections, such as dents and scratches, using body filler.
Clean and degrease surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint.
- **Color Matching**:Mix paint to match vehicle color specifications using computerized color-matching systems or manual methods.
Ensure accuracy in color matching to achieve seamless integration with existing paintwork.

Control spray gun settings, such as pressure and flow rate, to achieve desired results.
- **Quality Control**:Inspect painted surfaces for flaws, such as runs, sags, or orange peel texture.
Make necessary adjustments and touch-ups to ensure high-quality finishes.
Perform color checks and verify color accuracy against standards and specifications.
- **Safety and Compliance**:Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and exposure to hazardous materials.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding the use and disposal of paint and solvents.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint booth and workspace.
- **Customer Interaction**:Communicate with customers to understand their paint preferences and requirements.
Provide updates on the progress of paint work and address any concerns or questions raised by customers.
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality paint finishes and attentive service.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience as a motor car spray painter or similar role.
- Proficiency in using spray guns, paint mixing equipment, and other painting tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Certification or vocational training in automotive painting preferred.
