**Investment Insights Group**
The Investment Insights Group (IIG) comprises of a team of quantitative researchers and data scientists residing in each asset department to harness alternative data and advanced quantitative methods to generate superior investment performance for GIC. While quantitative researchers reside within specific asset departments alongside investment teams, they are also part of the broader IIG community, which provides ongoing capability development in quantitative techniques, functional mentorship, and exposure to cross-asset projects. We are looking for an experienced Strat to join Equities Data Strategies in driving the ideation, development and adoption of tech and data-driven insights in GIC’s fundamental equities business.

**Public Equities (EQ)**
We generate sustainable, superior returns through active investments across global equity markets. Strategies include total return strategies, absolute return strategies, and relative return strategies. Our long-term orientation and strong relationships with corporates provide us with opportunities to capitalize on market volatility to deliver strong investment performance.

You will be part of a team that uses advanced quantitative methods, alternative data, and technology to generate superior investment performance.

**What will you do as **a Quantitative Strategist?**
- Collaborate with the investment team to understand their needs and translate them into effective models/algorithms.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of the models/algorithms to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
- Continuously monitor and adjust the models as necessary to respond to market changes and maintain their effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments and trends in AI, and incorporate them into our models and strategies as appropriate.

**What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?**
- Experience working with large language models and other AI systems. Preferably hands-on experience with GPT, Claude, etc.
- Strong understanding of NLP concepts and techniques.
- Proficient with SQL and Python programming, software development knowledge is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to evaluate and optimize prompts.
- Basic understanding of a typical investment process - idea generation/screening, portfolio construction, risk management.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Effective written and verbal communications skills, particularly in explaining technical concepts to a broad audience.
