Position Summary
The Macallan Brand Ambassador’s role is to network, engage and build relationships and strategic partnerships with consumers, influencer groups and media by bringing the Macallan “world” to life in key assigned markets. The Macallan Brand Ambassador aims is to inspire, educate, recruit and engage these audiences with unique and impactful experiences. As a secondary focus, The Macallan Brand Ambassador supports major efforts and large scale distributor and trade education. The role will involve extensive travel within the South-East Asia Region, as well as to Scotland to liaise with the brand and distillery team and to host visits. It is important that the Brand Ambassador embodies the essence of the brand in both appearance and delivery of key brand messages.

**Job Description**:

- Spokesperson for The Macallan in SEAPAC domestic market
- Conduct consumer whisky appreciation and tasting programs in designated markets
- Host educational sessions for food and beverage staff with a varied level of whisky knowledge
- Train distributor staff, ensuring their knowledge of our ranges are up to date and top of mind, and assisting in selling in to customers
- Work with domestic Marketing team to develop and implement range of brand communications tools in connection with brand-consumer interface that are in line with brand messages and objectives
- Execution of The Macallan's spiritual home strategy with Prestige key accounts in Singapore and SEA
- Support Sales and Marketing with launches and represent The Macallan at key trade, media and consumer events across SEA
- Translate complex stories to simple articulation of key brand messages across; Consumer Events, Trade Events, International Media outlets
- Deploy and amplify drinks strategy with relevance to market’s consumers
- Work with Marketing team to host inspiring events for trade, whisky enthusiasts and high net worth individuals(HNWI)
- Be a leading voice of the brand across social media platforms, working with marketing team
- Track results from training and tasting events and report quarterly on qualitative and quantitative take outs
- Work with CRM and DTC for building a database of key influencer and end-consumer contacts to ensure we are talking to them directly to help grow DTC business
- Manage a group of external brand advocates, brand trainers and brand ambassadors (mixologists) to support business needs in training requirements. Supports with up to date training materials that are aligned with global brand team
- Management and best use of annual personal travel, entertainment, and activation budget

Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Luxury Goods/F&B industry; preferably within marketing/training/ambassadorial roles
- Strong knowledge of whiskies and alcoholic beverages
- Energetic, confident and self-motivated with a natural flair for presenting to an array of audiences
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to adapt to change
- High competency in spoken and written English; ability to communicate fluently in Mandarin is a plus
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in the food and beverage sphere
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiating skills (high net worth individual, trade, internal)
- Social media savvy (Instagram, Facebook)
- Ability to network amongst Ambassador/Mixology community
