[What the role is]

Lecturer (International Relations / Centre for Transcultural Studies)

[What you will be working on]
- Teach, assess, facilitate tutorials/workshops and monitor students’ learning in flipped classroom methodology using tools such as Brightspace, ClassPoint, Canva and MS Teams
- As part of the teaching team, contribute to plan and develop relevant teaching materials, assessment strategies and curriculum
- Incorporate active learning strategies and real-world/industry relevant contexts in the teaching materials and delivery
- Support the “Glocal Experiences” experiential learning team in the development and delivery of activities, workshops and local learning journeys to diverse communities in Singapore.

Global Studies Overseas Study Trips
- Develop itineraries for assigned destinations and procure travel services from a panel of pre-selected travel agents
- Liaise with appointed travel agent for the finalisation of the itineraries and confirmation of partners overseas
- Liaise with the appointed Trip Leaders from the 6 schools for the preparation, planning and delivery of the trips (including collaboration with appointed travel agent, students’ preparation and briefings, trip management)
- Conduct the students’ briefings, Trip Leaders’ training, update communication materials for students and Trip Leaders
- Collate feedback and conduct debrief with appointed vendors
- Lead Student Overseas Trip as Trip leader.

Other Academic Related Tasks
- Supervise and develop students through activities, projects or competitions under Interest Groups
- Represent department in academic related TP-wide committees
- Support ad-hoc academic related projects at department level

- Provide students with care and support to nurture their development

- Understand ASEAN, ASEAN members, China and India
- Able to manage local and overseas stakeholders and partners (with focus on overseas IHL)
- Demonstrate key principles of International Relations
- Possess basic protocol skills when visiting or hosting overseas partners

- Able to manage project and procure Goods and Services via small value purchase or RFQ
