Bloomberg News is seeking a Team Leader to oversee coverage of economics news for South and Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, you will lead coverage across bureaus that span about a third of the world's population.

You will oversee the fundamentals, from indicators to fiscal and monetary policy, take a hands-on role driving breaking news, and guide deeper enterprise.

To succeed in this role, you will need to work closely with teams across the newsroom such as markets, government and finance to coordinate coverage and ensure stories have both the granular detail to inform traders and the broad sweep to help analysts contextualize developments. You will also spread economics coverage to Bloomberg magazine, podcasts and TV and digital editors to drive stories across all platforms.

A key part of the role will also be working with bureau leaders to manage the well being and career aspirations of the team's reporters and editors. Coaching and mentoring will be crucial, so that all team members can deliver to the highest standards.

- Demonstrate strong editorial judgment and drive agenda-setting stories
- Mentor, lead, motivate and inspire a team with a breadth of knowledge across banking and finance, to deliver insightful and authoritative stories
- Work collaboratively across regional bureaus, groups and platforms to drive coverage that captures the context of South and Southeast Asia economic developments and the wider impact for global markets, international investors and companies You'll need to have:
-At least 7 years of recent experience in financial journalism
- At least 3 years of experience in a real-time news environment
- Proven experience leading, coaching and/or developing teams in a newsroom
- Demonstrated ability to edit quick and clear copy, shape coverage and work effectively with others
- Fluency in both spoken and written English
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
