Application Development Lead

A large financial institution with large big data team is looking for Application Development Manager / Lead with the following responsibilities:

- Leading an applicaiton development team
- Utilizing big data tools to perform data ingestion, interface and data analytics
- Building interfaces to big data (Hadoop) data store
- Integration of various tools as part of Hadoop ecosystems
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues
- Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to massive amounts of data and information
- Leading a team and mentoring junior engineers

**What you should have**:

- Computer Science or Engineering degree
- 10+ years experience in Data Engineering, DataWarehousing or Software Development
- Stong experience in the Big Data environment, using Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Hive etc.
- Experience with Azure is a plus
- Experience working in Python or Java is a plus
- Have to have hands on experience working with Hive, Spark, Scala, Kafka
- Strong in data analysis and has experience working with data lake and Datawarehouse
