**The Role**
The Accounting and Finance Manager APAC will be a key member of the finance team and will be the sole finance representative in Pico’s Singapore office. You will work closely with finance colleagues in Dublin, Ireland and New York, US. Together with the team in Dublin you are responsible for the accounting and finance related activities of several subsidiaries and branches within the APAC region. You will also be the first point of contact for anything related to finance for your Pico colleagues in the APAC region and you will support the business and key-stakeholders in region.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage a timely, accurate and complete monthly close process for several international subsidiaries and branches in the APAC region including analysis and reporting package to (International) HQ.
- Manage the statutory financial reporting and audit of our Singapore entity as well as other APAC entities of the Pico Group, including accurate comparison against our US GAAP books.
- Be first point of contact for local colleagues for all finance matters and being the finance representative of the global finance organization in the APAC region.
- Primary contact for external statutory auditors.
- Ensure timely compliance with local requirements such as regulatory reporting and government statistics.
- Manage indirect & corporate tax filings in cooperation with Pico’s tax department.
- Assist with bank account administration in the APAC region.
- Work on special accounting and system related projects.
- Assist with other ad-hoc finance and admin related tasks. Effectively connect with various groups throughout the organization such as finance HQ, legal, FP&A, HR, Sales.
**Requirements**:
- A degree in Accounting/Finance and a professional certification such as ACCA, CA, CPA.
- A minimum of 10 relevant experience, with a preference for prior experience in Big 4 or audit firms.
- Experience managing the accounting of a variety of subsidiaries and branches.
- Experience preparing financial statements under SFRS and managing the local statutory audit.
- Preferred experience with international branch setup and several international (indirect) tax registrations, compliance, cost allocations and transfer pricing.
- Able to work as only representative of the Finance organization within an office with colleagues of several other departments.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and local accounting standards.
- Working knowledge and understanding of local tax legislation.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commercially minded and quick to respond to sales and operational needs.
- Hands-on and willing to assist with other operational finance and admin tasks.
- Oracle ERP working knowledge much preferred.
- A "can do" attitude is essential. Ability to adapt to change and to make changes to drive efficiencies in processes is very important.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
