We are looking for an experienced individual to perform the role of Material Specialist in the Engineering & Maintenance Department.
Reporting to the Material Manager, this person will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aircraft material planning, repair management and inventory control related activities.
**Other Key responsibilities of this role are**:
- Co-ordinate and monitor the material support to ensure all required spares are available for all aircraft maintenance activities
- Review inventory level and provide timely stock replenishment to ensure material availability
- Cost efficient repair management to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained at all times
- Ensure all materials required for maintenance activities are monitored till closure
- Supervise and coordinate administrative requirements for spares shipments
- Liaise with vendors, freight forwarders and all other service providers on the shipment of spare, both for normal and AOG requirements to/from overseas ports
- Provide material support for new fleet induction and aircraft return
- Perform order receiving, update spares data and movement
- Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned
**To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience**:
- Diploma/Degree in Aerospace Engineering/Supply Chain Management
- At least 3 years’ experience in Aviation Material Planning/Inventory Control is required
- Good knowledge of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS) requirements and procedures is advantage
- Able to work productively and efficiently with initiative and drive under tight timeline and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good team player, self-driven with a high level of commitment, and able to work independently and multi-task
- Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt
- Strong negotiation and communication with both written and verbal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel
- Strong knowledge in Trax software is advantage but not a definite requirement
- Able and willing to work on weekends or out of office hours
