Cloud Specialist

As a **Cloud Specialist**, you will play a critical role in presales engagements, supporting solution design and driving customer success through cloud adoption. With a strong understanding of cloud services, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, present, and deliver innovative cloud solutions while acting as a trusted advisor and evangelist for modern cloud practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Presales Support**:Collaborate with sales and technical teams to understand customer requirements and propose tailored cloud solutions using Microsoft 365, Azure, and related services.
Design and present solution architectures, technical proposals, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that address customer pain points.
Conduct product demonstrations, showcasing the value of cloud solutions to drive engagement and adoption.
- **Solution Design & Implementation**:Assist in designing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures to meet business and technical objectives.
Participate in developing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts and automation workflows to support streamlined deployments and operational excellence.
Provide input on solution optimisations and continuous improvements to enhance overall cloud operations.
- **Cloud Evangelism**:Serve as a key advocate for cloud technologies by promoting best practices, sharing technical insights, and engaging in community or customer training sessions.
Create technical collateral such as whitepapers, blogs, and presentations to highlight the benefits of cloud transformation.
- **Technical Expertise**:Stay updated with the latest developments in cloud platforms, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem, to provide informed recommendations and strategies.
Provide guidance on cloud adoption frameworks, governance, security, and cost optimisation strategies.
- **Proof of Concepts and Demonstrations**:Lead the specification, setup, and execution of PoCs to demonstrate the viability and business value of proposed solutions.
Address customer technical concerns and refine the solution based on feedback from trials and demonstrations.
- **Collaboration and Cross-Functional Engagement**:Work closely with Professional Services teams to ensure smooth transition from presales to delivery.
Act as a liaison between customers, sales, and technical teams to ensure clarity of requirements and successful implementation.

**Preferred Skills and Experience**:

- Strong background in cloud technologies, including hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and automation tools.
- Experience in presales, technical consulting, or solution architecture roles.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation, scripting (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates, or Terraform), and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to various audiences.
- Understanding of cloud security, governance, and cost optimisation principles.
- Passion for cloud technologies and an ability to inspire others to embrace innovation.
