About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:

- Sustaining engineering functions for existing products, ensuring compliance with ResMed Quality Management System.
- Support design changes for released motorized blower systems, performing risk assessments on product fit, form, and function.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering to assess risk impacts at the flow generator level.
- Execute engineering tests, analyses, and reporting for motorized blowers and components.
- Develop mechanical designs, tolerance analyses, layouts, and engineering drawings.
- Operate autonomously while engaging effectively with team members and other business areas.
- Contribute to manufacturing process development and refinement.
- Write technical proposals for product design and specification changes.
- Author and execute testing protocols, ensuring products meet required specifications.
- Leads sub-functional teams or projects and trains and mentors junior team members.
- Serves as a best practice resource within own area of work.

About You:
To excel as an Senior Engineer in PLE, you need to be an innovative problem solver with strong analytical skills and excellent communication. You take ownership of your work, execute tasks autonomously, and know when to seek input and ask the right questions.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Biomedical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and the product development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with plastic part design, plastic injection moulding, and motor/rotary components.
- Proven expertise in root cause analysis and structured problem solving.
- Experience with controlled documents, change note processes, engineering drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Experience with risk management and FMEA.
- Familiarity with Creo / Pro-E CAD software and PDM / Intralink.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical devices industry.
- Understanding of noise and vibration theory, testing, equipment, and data analysis (preferred).
- Proficiency with FEA software such as ANSYS (preferred).
- Training and experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and APQP tools and methodologies (preferred).
