First Konnection is assisting a prestigious education institution in their search for an experienced professional to join their team as an Assistant Director, Finance & Procurement.

If you have a proven track record of preferably at least 5 years in your current organization—Within an MOE School, Private Education Institution, or the public sector—and a cumulative 8 years of experience, we want to hear from you

Your Impact:
As the Assistant Director, Finance & Procurement, you will report directly to the Director of Corporate Services. You’ll lead and inspire teams across Finance, Procurement, and Administration, ensuring our operations are not only efficient but also compliant with all relevant regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Leadership & Strategy**: Drive organizational excellence by spearheading and implementing strategic initiatives.
- **Policy & Process Optimization**: Review and enhance policies, processes, and internal controls with a strong focus on efficiency.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders, including funding ministries, Company Secretary, and auditors.
- **Board Support**: Provide secretarial support to the Board of Directors and its committees.
- **Additional Duties**: Take on other responsibilities as required by the organization.

What You Bring:

- **Educational Background**: A Degree in Accountancy, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- **Professional Credentials**: Chartered Accountant status is highly advantageous.
- **Experience**: At least 8 years of managerial experience, ideally within a school or public sector setting.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in multi-tasking and working at both strategic and operational levels.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting standards, corporate governance guidelines for Charities & Institutions of Public Character, and public sector procurement guidelines.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to engage individuals at all levels.
- Previous experience in ERP system implementation is a plus.
