**Intern, General Account and Finance**:Full time internship

**Location**Singapore, Singapore

You will be part of Munich Re’s General Accounting & Finance Department, the core responsibility of the GAF Team is to provide a high quality of accounting and treasury services for MR Branches in the region by maintaining accounting data quality, ensuring smooth daily cash operations, efficient liquidity management and tax compliance.

Your job
- Manage and maintain up to date and accurate records receivables and payables arising from business transactions with assigned clients / vendors / customers including invoice & payments processing.
- Monitor and control the reconciliation of GL accounts and bank accounts as assigned and follow up outstanding items.
- Support monthly / quarterly financial closing activities.
- Support the preparation of the financial, statutory, taxation and other internal/external reporting.
- Support investment related tasks eg Securities instructions and postings.
- Effective collaboration and coordination with business section to support quality assurance process.
- Support the co-ordination of financial audits and other external/internal audit reviews.
- Support in the roll out of accounting projects e.g. IFRS17 and IFRS9.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

**Profile**:

- Pursuing a tertiary course or degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
- Strong interpersonal skills, good teamwork and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Prior experience with SAP accounting system and/or experience/interest in data analytics is a plus.
