**Job Overview**:
As a Front of House Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, ensuring that their dining experience is enjoyable, seamless, and memorable. You will play a key role in creating a positive atmosphere, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and supporting the overall operations of the restaurant.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service Excellence**:Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable.
Present menus, answer questions about the menu, and provide recommendations based on guests' preferences.
Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen in a timely manner.
Ensure food and drinks are served in a timely, professional manner.
Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Clear dishes and refill drinks as needed.
Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate to management if necessary.
- **Order Management**:Take accurate orders and input them into the POS (Point of Sale) system.
Ensure that orders are processed and delivered correctly, with attention to special requests or dietary requirements.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of meals and beverages.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness & Organization**:Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors.
Set and reset tables between seatings, ensuring all tableware, glassware, and utensils are clean and polished.
Clean and sanitize service areas, including counters, trays, and condiment stations.
Ensure restrooms are maintained to high standards of cleanliness.
- **Cash Handling & Billing**:Present bills to customers, process payments (cash, credit/debit card), and provide change as necessary.
Ensure the accuracy of bills and handle any discrepancies with customers or management.
Ensure cash register and POS systems are accurately maintained.
- **Team Collaboration**:Work closely with kitchen staff, baristas, bartenders, and other front-of-house team members to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
Assist colleagues when needed, whether helping with cleaning, serving, or other tasks.
- **Upselling & Promotions**:Actively promote specials, new menu items, or promotions to guests.
Upsell additional menu items, such as appetizers, desserts, or beverages, when appropriate.
- **Adherence to Health & Safety Standards**:Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ensure that all health and safety protocols are adhered to, both in front-of-house operations and personal conduct.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a customer service role (preferred but not required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage, or the willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays of food or drinks.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards (food handling and sanitation).
- A positive attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
