Job Description & Requirements
The Inspector is responsible for the supervision of construction work within surface protection, responsibility and ensuring that the work meets the contractual as well as operational requirements.
- Witnessing all relevant tests according to Client’s standard’s and accept only when achieved
- Be a resource for painting contractor and ensure alignment of acceptance criteria between company, contractors and paint suppliers
- Conducting official inspections as well as monitoring and supervising work at the Yard, to obtain the best quality and to improve efficiency
- Confirm Galvanizing is carried out according to specification
- Confirm TSA/TSZ is carried out according to specification
- Reporting any delays and issuing corrective action requests to the yard as and when required
- Verifying that all documentation is updated to as-built status continuously, and upon completion of installation and commissioning
- Ensure alignment with structure inspector and acceptance criteria
- Take initiative for proper and timely action in all respects
- Take initiative to secure adequate preservation of coated surfaces
- The Inspector shall ensure a good working relationship between Client’s and the Yard/Contractor
Monitor work progress against plans and schedules and highlight areas of concern and possible corrective actions.
- Ability to review coating specifications and make necessary improvement recommendations if required
- Familiar & experience with Hempel products inclusive of X7 Silicone, Polyflake and Bimagrip coatings
- NACE (level 4) Inspector Certificate
- 15+ years in new building projects, Marine & Offshore
- Comprehensive major project experience in Asian Yards
- Good verbal and written communicator

Pay: $5,000.00 - $12,000.00 per month
