Reefer Trailer Technician

**Full Job Description**

Allied Container Group is looking for a **_Reefer/ Refrigeration Trailer Technician_** for the depot. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude; detail oriented; willing to jump in and help where needed; and a strong work ethic This position handles the complete repair and general maintenance of Refrigerated trailers as well as all other styles and sizes of trailers and is willing to help in the depot as needed. The schedule is M**onday through Saturday 8am - 5pm; 8am - 12pm**. **The essential duties include**:

- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration units and auxiliary power units
- Diagnose and repair trailers including preventative maintenance, inspections, repair to air and hydraulic brakes, tires and electrical
- Maintains transport truck and trailer refrigeration units by reviewing orders; listening to operator complaints; repairing failures; removing, replacing, testing for leaks, assembling, and installing parts and components involving soldering, welding, and the use of refrigeration equipment.
- Troubleshooting skills
- Brake repair
- Wiring
- Suspension repair
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to jump in and help where needed
- Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus
- Welding experience a plus
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
- Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
- Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient, and friendly work environment

**Requirements**:
**Job Requirements**:

- Refrigeration or HVAC experience is preferred
- Experience working with refrigeration units
- Ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
- Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions
- Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them
- Mechanical and HVAC experience
- EPA Certification with refrigerant a plus

Ability to work independently in a field service environment, while displaying a professional and confident relationship with the customer

**Salary**: $2,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month

- Day shift
