**Job Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Automation Design**: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and design efficient automation solutions using Ansible.
- **Centralised Automation Strategy**: Develop and maintain a strategic plan for centralising automation across the organisation using Ansible.
- **OCP Application Onboarding**: Oversee tasks such as Namespace Creation, Quota Assignment, and RBAC role assignment for OCP onboarding.
- **Form Development**: Design and test digital forms (using AngularJS) for user requirements as per the specification document.
- **JSON Handling**: Manage JSON data for configuration management and data interchange.
- **DevOps Pipeline Setup**: Set up DevOps pipelines to build and release Ansible playbooks.
- **Playbook Maintenance**: Create, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for automating configurations, deployments, and other tasks.
- **Inventory Management**: Maintain a centralised inventory of managed hosts and resources.
- **Security and Compliance**: Ensure automation complies with organisational security and compliance policies, especially in handling credentials and secrets.
- **Scripting**: Develop and maintain scripts in Python and PowerShell to automate processes.
- **API Integration**: Work with APIs to enable communication between various systems and platforms.
- **Technology Stack Management**: Support automation solutions across Linux, Windows, RHEL, Core OS, and OCP, with a strong understanding of AWS environments.
- **Source Control**: Use tools like GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and JIRA for version control and collaboration.
- **Cloud Infrastructure Management**: Provision and manage cloud resources using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- **ITSM Integration**: Integrate automation solutions with ITSM tools to improve service delivery and incident management.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 35 years of proven experience as an Ansible Automation Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong scripting abilities in Python, YAML, Angular JS, and PowerShell (experience with Java and Groovy is a plus).
- Familiarity with API integration and JSON handling.
- Proficiency with Linux, Windows, Core OS, and RHEL environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and AWS.
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Ansible.
- Experience with version control and collaboration tools like GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and JIRA.
- Handson experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.
- Fair understanding of networking (including VLANs, firewalls, and ports).
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and integrating automation with IT service management.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments.
- Knowledge of automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with networking concepts, such as firewalls and VLANs.
- Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $4,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- working with Ansible for automation: 3 years (preferred)
- scripting in Python, YAML, AngularJS, and PowerShell: 3 years (preferred)
- Red Hat OpenShift and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure: 3 years (preferred)
- API integration and JSON handling: 3 years (preferred)
- managing Linux, Windows, and RHEL environments: 3 years (preferred)
